IN MEMORIAM
In ever loving memory of our dear son and brother, Private Frederick (dick) Baker, 16th Northumberland Fusiliers, second dearly loved son of Mr and Mrs J. Baker of Hill Farm, Holton, who was killed while on outpost duty at Houthould Forest on February 2nd 1918.
Farewell fall scenes, the might have beens
Its is not much indeed;
But I give my all, my life, at call
Of England’s need
From his loving Dad, Mother, Sisters and Brothers
True in life, noble in death.
Until we meet again beloved.
